Worshipping with Children

Mission: We embrace and meet the youth where they are and inspire them to become who Christ created them to be. We are a place where you will be spiritually fed by the many adventures of working in our community and abroad. We will be working but it will not feel like it because you will be having fun by giving and loving on your neighbor. Our youth come from different stages and life experiences. We will use those life experiences to draw each other closer to each other and deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ.
What to expect for kids on a Sunday
Children join us in worship
We value families worshiping together and so children join us in service. We know this may include noise and interruptions- we welcome that! There are activity bags available for younger kids outside of the sanctuary that you are welcome to grab before service to help entertain your little ones.
Children’s Message
Prior to the sermon, the pastor gives a short children’s message. All children are welcome to join him up front for this fun message which helps connect the day’s topic in a way kids can understand.
Kids’ Church
After the Kids’ Message, all children around age 4 and up are invited to come back to Kids’ Church. We meet in the youth room for 20 minutes during the sermon. We will have a Bible message and a fun activity. Kids rejoin their families for the end of worship, in time for communion.
Have a Question?
Do we have to dress up for church?
No! We know it’s hard enough to get to Sunday morning worship with kids, so we are glad to see you in whatever you and your kids are wearing.
What if my kids are noisy during church service?
That’s ok - they’re kids! We expect and welcome that. We have activity bags you can also grab to help keep them entertained.
Do my kids have to go to Kids’ Church?
No, they are welcome to stay with you in the service in you prefer. Whatever you and they are most comfortable with.
Will there be food?
Yes! Every Sunday after worship we have a time of fellowship with food in the Fellowship Hall. Think of it as a light lunch/snacks, and it is often a highlight for kids.
Will my kids be safe?
The safety of your children is our highest priority. All of our Sunday School teachers are background checked and will never be alone with a child.
What is there for kids outside of Sunday mornings?
We love hosting fun events for our kids and families, so check our calendar to see what is coming up!
